big lil B

so my mom found these cute black leggings that i knew B just HAD to have and she finally fits them. YAY! So I paired them with a white tank top, the cute "mary jane" socks Myka's coworker gave B and a headband...and we got what Myka likes to call "Mommy Jr." :) It makes me giggle. But doesn't she look like she's about TWO YEARS OLD? my gosh is she growing up fast!

where have we been?

my oh my. where have we been you ask? EVERYWHERE!

Brooke is everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean, everywhere! If I turn my head for one minute, she is gone. And all those toys we have for her? She's not interested in those. No, no, no she likes the things that are big no-nos. Like eating her poppy and gramma's house slippers, or licking the tiles, or sticking her fingers in the light sockets, or eating paper or lint or anything she can get in her mouth. I swear, I can't keep up with this girl! But one little smile from her and she makes everything worth it.

In addition to crawling everywhere, she has officially begun pulling herself up and standing. dear lord help me! I honestly don't know what i am going to do. Tonight, she pulled herself up on myka's legs, gave me a side eye look and smirked at me. no joke, smirked at me. Like she was saying, just you wait mommy. YIKES! Talk about attitude! And the other night she rolled her eyes at my mom. Not once, but TWICE! We're in for some serious trouble. She also is a screaming machine. She loves to scream and flail her body. Unfortunately it kills our ears and bruises up mommy. :(

One of my favorite things she's doing right now is she follows my Poppy (her great-grandpa) and will crawl to his feet. Grab his feet, look up at him and moan and groan, as if she's saying, PICK ME UP POPPY! And of course, he does. It's adorable. I cherish moments like that. Especially since they remind me of when I was little.

Hard to believe my baby is almost EIGHT months old. Time really flies. I'm sure she weighs almost 30 lbs. (Ok maybe not, but when you hold her all day, it sure feels like it!) And each day I think she looks more and more like Myka. (Even though everyone tells me she looks like me.) Her hair is growing and looks so cute with little clips and she's is starting to fit into 12 & 18 month clothes. so sad. She even doesn't really fit in her infant carrier anymore. BOO!

Other than that, we're good, things are well and we are trekking along. House hunting like crazy and officially have three offers submitted out there. Keeping our fingers crossed! :)

Here are some quick pictures of Miss B. I know all you Facebook friends, these are old pictures for you, but I'm too lazy to upload new ones :)

here she is, after lots (and lots and lots and lots) of practice, finally able to sit up by herself!
i see you!

practicing her sitting because dr said she was lazy :) this is about a second before she tumbled over.

Little Milestones

Little B is growing up so fast. The past couple of weeks have left me in awe and definitely feeling a little sad. Miss B broke her first two bottom teeth mid-June and since has broken three more. Her 2nd top tooth completely broke through last night. You can even feel her other teeth pushing though as well. :(

In addition, last Sunday (July 26th) she began fully crawling. She was already getting around before but she decided to master the army crawl on the 26th. And by the end of the week she was already up on all fours rocking back and forth. And how is it with her crawling you ask? Crazy! The day after she mastered the army crawl, I put her down for nap (which she was faux sleeping) and left the room. A few minutes later I thought, hmmm, I better check on that little girl. When I opened the door, she looked over her shoulder at me with a big smile and white powder all over her face. Apparently she had crawled across the room, found her homeopathic teething tablets, unscrewed the top and dumped them out all over the floor! AHHHH! And don't even ask me how many times she's face planted or bonked her forehead! AHHHHHH!

And yesterday she found the light socket. Umm, yea. And she tried to pull out the light and stick her fingers in the holes. After screaming whenever I told her NO! She got so frustrated that she couldn't do what she wanted that she stuck her fingers up my nose. Fantastic.

Life is fun but boy does she tire me out!
