my oh my. where have we been you ask? EVERYWHERE!
Brooke is everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean, everywhere! If I turn my head for one minute, she is gone. And all those toys we have for her? She's not interested in those. No, no, no she likes the things that are big no-nos. Like eating her poppy and gramma's house slippers, or licking the tiles, or sticking her fingers in the light sockets, or eating paper or lint or anything she can get in her mouth. I swear, I can't keep up with this girl! But one little smile from her and she makes everything worth it.
In addition to crawling everywhere, she has officially begun pulling herself up and standing. dear lord help me! I honestly don't know what i am going to do. Tonight, she pulled herself up on myka's legs, gave me a side eye look and smirked at me. no joke, smirked at me. Like she was saying, just you wait mommy. YIKES! Talk about attitude! And the other night she rolled her eyes at my mom. Not once, but TWICE! We're in for some serious trouble. She also is a screaming machine. She loves to scream and flail her body. Unfortunately it kills our ears and bruises up mommy. :(
One of my favorite things she's doing right now is she follows my Poppy (her great-grandpa) and will crawl to his feet. Grab his feet, look up at him and moan and groan, as if she's saying, PICK ME UP POPPY! And of course, he does. It's adorable. I cherish moments like that. Especially since they remind me of when I was little.
Hard to believe my baby is almost EIGHT months old. Time really flies. I'm sure she weighs almost 30 lbs. (Ok maybe not, but when you hold her all day, it sure feels like it!) And each day I think she looks more and more like Myka. (Even though everyone tells me she looks like me.) Her hair is growing and looks so cute with little clips and she's is starting to fit into 12 & 18 month clothes. so sad. She even doesn't really fit in her infant carrier anymore. BOO!
Other than that, we're good, things are well and we are trekking along. House hunting like crazy and officially have three offers submitted out there. Keeping our fingers crossed! :)
Here are some quick pictures of Miss B. I know all you Facebook friends, these are old pictures for you, but I'm too lazy to upload new ones :)
here she is, after lots (and lots and lots and lots) of practice, finally able to sit up by herself!
i see you!
