Pretty Poems and Wonderful Words

We've come to find out, that B is an avid reader with an always growing collection of books. It amazes me to no end that she is constantly crawling over to her book box and pulling out books to go through. She loves them!

Her all-time favorite though, is Baby Einstein's "Pretty Poems and Wonderful Words." We can just say the title of the book and she will stop whatever she is doing, turn around and high-tail it over to us, so she can read her book. Unfortunately, she's hasn't quite mastered the term "gentle" so this book has been to hell and back; especially since it's one of those pop-up style books.

Nonetheless, it's still her favorite

Time to read:
"The Moon had a face like the clock in the hall..."

Flipping open the flaps...or more like trying to tear them off!

"Hi Mommy! I'm reading my book!"

myka's 30th.

today was myka's 30th birthday. yikes! (just kidding baby! :p) and in celebration of the BIG day, we decided to take advantage of Disneyland's get-in-free-for-your birthday promotion. and seeing as how myka hasn't been there in over fifteen yeras, i haven't been there in the past ten years, and b has never been there, it proved to be an amazing day. here are some fun pics:

happy 30th daddy!

So what better way to ring in a HUGE milestone birthday, then to take advantage of Disneyland's get-in-free-on-your-birthday promotion and play with Mickey and Minnie for the first time in over a decade?!

So we packed up and took off to the heart of Anaheim, for a fun filled day filled with lots of yummy goodies, fun rides, smiles and great family memories. It was an awesome day!

Happy Birthday Daddy! :)

"I'm excited for Disneyland guys!"
Princess B on the tram. She loved it.

I wish the tree was up for a good family Christmas pic, but this was good enough :)

Daddy's two princesses in front of the castle

B wasn't as excited to take a picture in front of the castle as I was.

Looking at the Dumbo ride thinking, "Hmmm, that looks a little scary."

...Maybe if I protest, Mommy won't make me go!

At first I was a little hesitant...

and freaked out...

...but then I relaxed and enjoyed the ride :)

Dummmmmmmbo!

My first ride on a carousel and I loved it! All the pretty lights and music!

There's no way daddy will ever let mommy ever teach me how to drive

I wasn't too happy about waiting for Small World since that was my favorite ride. Luckily the lines were short and I got to ride TWICE!

First Time Visitor!

Here's a couple pics of Mommy and Daddy after GMA picked me up...I always miss out on the fun!

And here's a little video of B soaking up everything on Small World.

big girl numnums

I dunno if my mommy has told you, but I'm pretty big on my numnums. There's not anything I don't try and like. Rice, LOVE it. Tofu, LOVE it. Poi, LOVE it. All the fruits and veggies, LOVE them. Vienna sausage, LOVE it. All the canned baby foods, LOVE them. I even got a chunk out of a red bell pepper last week and I LOVED that! Mommy was impressed.

So with this mouth full of monster teeth (EIGHT now!) and an appetite that could put a grown man to shame, mommy thought it was only natural to slowly start eating completely solid, big girl foods. and of course, mommy documented every moment of it.

c'mon mommy, i don't have all day. i want my NUMNUMS!

oh man, this is going to be good.

broccoli, carrots and avocado. looks like everything is here!

i think i'm gonna have to use TWO hands.

uh-oh, carrot down! now where did it go?

yummmmmmy.
i gotta get it ALL in my mouth!
the end product. pure yumminess (and a messy face!)
