the past week-ish.

things have been hectic and we are seriously, running around like chickens with our heads cut off. idk how we are going to pack up this entire apartment by the time we need to...AHH! thankfully, my darling husband planned ahead and gave us a few extra days before our lease was up.

nonetheless, the past week and a half have been busy. our family from missouri came and visited. it was so great to sit back and enjoy great conversations and company for a few days.

i also finally got mini me to her 4 (and a half) month check-up last week where we learned she is just about 27 inches long and 16.5 lbs. she is in the 91st percentile for weight and the dr says off the charts for length. WOOHOO! i couldn't believe it. she's more than doubled her birth weight and has grown 8 inches since birth. AMAZING! the little one also got the green light for solids, since doctor says she's looking and acting like a 6-9 month old. however, the fiesty little one has since decided that she's not really interested in the solids anymore. go figure. that girl is all about the breast. she has also started to try and scoot which leave her daddy and i with our mouths wide open in disbelief. we can't believe she's almost five months old...where is 2009 flying to?

i also took her on her first plane ride this past week for a day trip up to san francisco. while the trip was fun (though a little too fast!) i have to admit, I was totally the mommy on the plane with the screaming baby. :( our flight to SF was HORRIBLE as we were delayed and mini me decided to scream for a good 20-30 minutes once we boarded the plane. YIKES! a combination of sleepiness and nosiness just didn't work in our favor and i nearly had a breakdown mid-flight. thank gosh my mom was there to help me out...i now have a newfound respect for flying parents!

other than that, we're busy, busy, busy with packing up and moving on. lots of good changes and things coming up for the remainder of the year and we're so lucky for all of our friends and family's support through everything. we love you all! in the meantime, here are some new pics to enjoy
