A few weeks ago, on a lazy Sunday, I decided our family day would be spent browsing the local thrift stores. I know. A great way to spend the day, right? Well...at least for me :)
M, the easygoing spirit that he is, was onboard and of course, Little Miss B was along for the ride. So off we were for a fun filled day hitting up out local OC Goodwills.
I'm not sure what I was looking for. I'm not usually looking for anything in particular when I'm off thrifting, but B sure did have a field day and found plenty of things she wanted to bring on home to play with.
Which is how we ended up with this:

That's right. We ended up with a new fish tank, beautifully set up in her room with three Molly fish (named Molly, Dolly and Dwayne) and a plecostomus. She's pretty pumped about it. And we were too, until about 14 fish died on us :( And of course, all the pretty colorful fish that I picked were the ones to choke while the orange Mollys that did live were the ones M picked. Whatever!
So we added some fish to our house. The pump and fish tank worked wonderfully and it came with all the awesome gravel and plants. Total added plus.
Total price? $15
Not too bad considering we priced out this tank for like $75 and that didn't include the plants and gravel. Woohoo! I love a deal.
Just don't ask me how much all the fish that died cost though. :(
