well, where do i start?
we (or moreso, I) have come to a bit of an impasse.
while i love updating and sharing our family stories and pictures, i can't help but wonder about this sick world and the crazy people living in it. i have had numerous encounters in just the past week that have made me question the people around me and the safety of myself and baby and i can't help but wonder if it's possible that it's all apart of a bigger sign/message for me to pay attention to. i mean, who exactly happens to stumble upon our blog? i have an idea, but we all know the internet is full of lurkers.
so the impasse...do we keep our blog open to the public? while i would love to keep it public, i'm not sure i see this happening. do we make it private? well we tried this before, we soon realized that rss feeders weren't updated regularly with our blog so our readers could easily read the blog and those that the blog was intended for, didn't even sign-up to read it. (not that those of you that read it regularly aren't important) do we cancel our blog? this seems like the best situation, however, is it what i want? not really. so, again...the impasse. we'll let you all know!
True, you could like send out emails with word documents with pics and writings... then you know who's getting what... plus it's like you're starting to write a journal that could eventually be printed out... I dunno. An idea?
ReplyDeleteIf you're worried about the whole privacy thing, I certainly don't blame you. The family newsletter business seems to work pretty well - I have other friends who do it. But I understand - it's hard to not worry about the weirdos.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean girly! we were going through the exact same thing! Kev took us out of the "next blog" thing at the top & so it wouldn't come up for strangers cycling through. It has helped...
