poor baby.

my poor little one just hasn't been herself lately. early last week, i came on with a sore throat, body aches, the works and i'm sure it passed on to her. it was so heartwrenching watching her fight it. doctor said there wasn't much to do about it, seeing as how she didn't have any water in her ears or a solid 102+ degree temperature. :( all i could think about was how horrible i felt being sick and how horrible her little body must have been feeling.

then the past few days, we've noticed she's been incredibly fussy, sometimes screaming until we can finally rock her to sleep, chomping on her little hands until they are bright red, running a low grade fever off and on and drooling like there is never ending saliva in her mouth. could little pearly whites be on the way? only time will tell. when i put my finger (or anything for that matter!) in her mouth to feel her gums she chomps down on it like someone who hasn't eaten in days, so i definitely think there's some irritation in her lower gums.  in the meantime, i feel horrible and want to cry right along with her. my poor baby!

here's a picture of her after she screamed herself to sleep in the car. through all her little problems right now, she still manages to get in some great toothless little grins.

  1. she is sooo precious! I can't wait to meet her one of these days! :) i hope that you are feeling better and little brooke is feeling better too...

i used to work at a children's dentist office and we used to tell patients/parents all the time to massage the gums because it'll make it a little easier when their teeth come in...you can massage with your finger or buy a baby tooth brush :)
